Important Reminders
- Advisors cannot grant overrides - students should reach out to the Undergrad Director for the department in which they need the overrides
- Check Course Restrictions in SSC - students may register for general sections (3 numbers - ex. 002) or most sections beginning with the letter Y (ex. Y01), or the letter J numbered 10 and higher (ex. J12); other sections with letters such as A, C, H, M, Z, and others will be restricted to specific student populations
- Check Course Descriptions in SSC - some classes are only open to certain majors or minors, or may be restricted for a set amount of time
- ex. PSYC courses are restricted to majors during registration week, then open to minors, then to the general population
- Co-Requisite Errors - students must add classes with required co-requisites at the same time in SSC, ex. BIOL 102 and BIOL 102L
- Reminder: Organic Chemistry 1 (CHEM 333) lab is CHEM 331L, Organic Chemistry 2 (CHEM 334) lab is CHEM 332L
- Pre-Requisite Errors - students must pass a required course before taking the next one, ex. CHEM 112 is the pre-requisite for CHEM 333
- Other Errors- View the "Common Holds & Restrictions" page to view what other restrictions mean, ex. "Field of Study Restriction" means that a course is restricted to certain majors/minors/colleges
